Note: The Networks Tab is only visible and available after logging
into the Tipify Platform Controls through the Configurations Tab when first
connecting to the Tipify Environment.
System
System provides access to System Settings, Time, Power, Password, Updates, and Certificates.
System Settings
You can Reboot the device, Shutdown the device and restart Tipify.

Note: Clicking the Shutdown button only begins the shutdown process. DO NOT remove power until shutdown is complete. It will be safe to unplug your device when the SYSTEM POWER and HBEAT LEDs turn off.
Time
Time lets you set Timezone and NTP.
Timezone
The time zone database and naming model is based on the ZoneInfo database used by UNIX and Java (also known as the Olson database). All time zones have both a simple name and a fullName. The fullName is the full identifier used in the zoneinfo database such as "America/New_York". The simple name is the city name only such as "New_York".
NTP
NTP can be on for automatic time sync (set Time Servers and Sync Interval) or off to set manually.
Notify
Powerfail Shutdown
Powerfail shutdown is basically a UPS capability for the device. If power fails, this is the amount of time, in minutes, to wait for power to come back on before starting a shutdown of the device, which can be useful if a site experiences frequent but momentary power outages.

A new battery will typically support up to 10 minutes of runtime.
INFO: The device will shutdown
automatically when the battery falls below a safe
level, regardless of the time entered here.Default is 0: shutdown immediately.
Password
Password allows you to change the T-STAR platform (CONFIGURATION) password. It does NOT alter the Tipify password.
Updates
Updates lets you upload updates. There are currently three types of tup updates (Platform, Tipify, and FOTA).
Platform TUP uses a tup file that upgrades from your current version
like update-alberta2_3P-9_3P-12.tup which upgrades from 3P-9 to 3P-12.

Note: Tup is a file-based build system for Linux, OSX, and Windows. It inputs a list of file changes and a directed acyclic graph (DAG), then processes the DAG to execute the appropriate commands required to update dependent files. Updates are performed with very little overhead since tup implements powerful build algorithms to avoid doing unnecessary work.
- Select a .tup file by pressing the folder icon.
- Press Upload.
- Press the check after Upload success.

Note: You may have to wait several minutes to see if the update requires a reboot. If one is needed, it will start automatically.
- Patches (Patches TUP) - Patches TUP uses a tup file that patches your current version like patch-alberta2_3P-12a.tup which patches a device at 3P-12.
- Updates (Tipify TUP) - Tipify TUP uses a tup file that upgrades from any previous version like tipify_3.0.21.tup.
- Updates (FOTA TUP) - FOTA TUP uses a tup file that upgrades from a previous modem version like fota_3.0-125.tup
Certificate
Certificates lets you upload PEM certificate.
Tipify DB
This allows you to upload a Tipify database zip. This may be r2 which will then be run through migration to r3. An r2 database is named infer which will be converted to a unique name for r3 from the first 2 sections of the hostid like t245g_ b1841005e for TSTAR-245G-B1841005E-xxxxxxxx.
PODs
This allows you to upload pods.
Ping
This allows you to ping IP Addresses.
Trace Route
This allows you to trace routes to an IP Address.
