T-Star 245 - Maintenance - Updating Tipify

Updating Tipify

Updates to the Tipify Host is done through distributed “.tup” files.

1. Connect to the Host app and select the the System Tab.

2. Scroll down to the ‘Updates’ section and click the ‘Blue Folder’ button.  When prompted, browse for and select the ‘.tup’ file provided by Intellastar.


3. When a valid ‘.tup’ file is selected the ‘Upload’ button will next to the ‘Blue Folder’ button will become available, select the ‘Upload’ button.


The file upload may take several minutes to complete. The TSTAR platform will notify when the upload is complete; but it's important to be aware that the update is still being processed, and may take upwards of 20 minutes to complete. Update progress can be viewed on the LOG webpage.

THE DEVICE WILL REBOOT AUTOMATICALLY WHEN COMPLETE.
NOTE: There is no progress indication while Tipify performs updates. Do NOT refresh or close the browser window, and do NOT click the upload button more than once when updating Tipify.
IMPORTANT: If the UPDATE is interrupted, the device may become corrupted and stop functioning. DO NOT TO REBOOT OR POWER OFF THE TSTAR - it will reboot automatically when complete.
